BRANDING / ATRIUM CATERING + DESIGN

CHALLENGE

Atrium Catering and Event Design approached us in late 2012 to redesign their brand. They wanted their logo to, just by looking at it, be obvious that they were a catering company and wanted to incorporate an image separate of their name. It was challenging because the word Atrium had nothing to do with food, so it couldn’t stand alone without an image or design that indicated or implied that they were in the food business. The other challenge was creating something that was not cliché design within that industry.

SOLUTION

We started by working with Atrium’s leadership and looking at competitor’s logos and brands. We quickly realized that most companies do in fact use cliché designs within this industry. We then set out to create a unique mark that was a direct tie to not only their core business but also a tie to their name, Atrium.

RESULT

The result was a brand that centered around a large letter A in the shape of a plate, to indicate that they were in the catering business but also worked well with their name, Atrium.
