CHALLENGE
For this project, the goal was to create a design for a musical artist/DJ group called Moon Unity that focused on ambient and lounge
music. This design needed to feature the designed typeface developed for the class. No pictures were allowed for the design but we could use shapes.
SOLUTION
During Andres’s recent time in Portugal, he was confronted with beautiful cliffside beaches that had beach clubs at many of them playing lounge and chill music. He was inspired to use this as inspiration for this project. The design for the background is inspired by the incredible different blue colors of the water at these beaches and the dramatic cliffs that make up the unique beaches, found no where else on earth.
RESULT
The result was a unique and striking design that transports you into the music. The abstract shapes recall a moment when water meets land and the typeface design is a perfect reflection of the ambient and lounge music of the artist.
